ARX Robotics, a German defense tech startup, has raised â¬31 million to enhance production of its autonomous mini-tank-like battlefield robots and develop its Mithras OS software, which aims to modernize NATOâs existing military vehicles. The company plans to retrofit 50,000 vehicles and intends to establish a UK facility for producing 1,800 robots per year. These modular machines, able to carry diverse payloads and operate autonomously or remotely, have been tested by various European armed forces, including a recent delivery to Ukraine.
The demand for modular, software-driven defence systems is growing rapidly - and we're building the company that will define this category in Europe.
ARX's modular robots can be fitted with equipment like radar, mine-sweeping devices, or medical stretchers, making them versatile on the battlefield.
