It was a nightmare. It still is': the cost of doing business, eight years after Brexit
Briefly

A report by the Centre for Economic Performance revealed Brexit's negative effect on UK trade, with exports and imports lower in real terms, shrinking by 1% and 2% respectively since 2016.
Despite the decline in trade, some sectors like services have remained successful, but many others have struggled, with examples including a 20% drop in UK clothing exports and a 56% fall in poultry exports post-Brexit.
New border checks since April have raised concerns of more disruption, estimating a 2bn cost to businesses importing food and plant products. The repercussions of Brexit are still impacting businesses.
