The Freedom Party (FPO), having topped the national elections for the first time, faces challenges forming a government due to tense relations with conservative parties.
Herbert Kickl of the FPO stated, 'No games, no tricks, no sabotage, no obstructionism...if that is not guaranteed... then there will be new elections, we are prepared for that.'
Political analyst Thomas Hofer noted the conservatives are 'in a very bad position' following their failed government formation attempts and in light of falling polls.
With the FPO now scoring over 35 percent in polls, it's clear that they have strengthened their political position, making negotiations critical for governance.
