Georgia's president will not step down until illegitimate' election rerun

President Salome Zourabichvili declared she would not leave office when her term ends, asserting that the parliament which elected her successor is illegitimate due to fraudulent elections.
Zourabichvili stated, 'There is no legitimate parliament, and therefore, an illegitimate parliament cannot elect a new president. My mandate continues until a legitimately elected parliament is formed.'
Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister, warned against a revolution as thousands protested for a third consecutive night after the government suspended talks on EU accession.
Despite the governing Georgian Dream party's claimed victory, concerns of electoral fraud have been raised by EU and US monitoring bodies, prompting calls for an investigation.
