Defend scientific integrity and academic freedom
Briefly

A group of scientists from the SPHERA Consortium, representing top research institutions across the EU, emphasizes the necessity of protecting scientific integrity and academic freedom in formulating evidence-based policies. They highlight the significant challenges facing society, addressing the need for robust science to confront them. The group has officially drafted a declaration underscoring their commitment to these principles, aligning with a broader movement aimed at reinforcing the role of science in public discourse and policy-making.
As advocates for evidence-based policy, we stand united in defence of scientific integrity, academic freedom and the indispensable role of science in addressing global challenges.
Along with 50 scientists from the SPHERA Consortium, we have drafted a declaration on the defence of science, reflecting a collective commitment to uphold these values.
