Azad recounts his experience: "When these protests happened, I just thought, so what can we do now? You don't have any place that you belong."
Reflecting on the violence he witnessed, Azad states, "It was really scary. The attacks on asylum seekers made me feel vulnerable in a country I thought would be safe."
