Ukrainian worker manages a wrecked museum in exile

Hore escaped Mariupol, managing to save information about the museum's collection, while Kapustnikova stayed and helped Russian officials appropriate works by Arkhip Kuindzhi, subjecting her to EU and Canadian sanctions.

The EU accuses Kapustnikova of willingly giving the works to Russian authorities without Ukrainian consent, leading to their transfer to the Local History Museum of Donetsk, now part of Russian-claimed territories.
