A Russian official and international media reports citing a Ukrainian intelligence source said Ukraine struck a Russian oil processing plant in Bashkortostan, nearly 1,200 kilometres (746 miles) from the border.
Putin says Russia and Belarus started preparations for joint tactical nuclear weapons exercises. The drills were linked to threats from France, Britain, and the United States. 'This is planned work... it is training,' Putin mentioned.
On Monday, Moscow announced the practice of deploying tactical nuclear weapons as part of a drill, mentioning threats from France, Britain, and the United States. Belarusian President Lukashenko said this was the third such exercise.
