The European Court of Justice ruled that Petr Aven and Mikhail Fridman were not involved in actions that threaten Ukraine's integrity, annulling EU sanctions from 2022-23.
Although Aven and Fridman challenged the sanctions as spurious, their sanctions were reinstated in March 2023 with a potential to be lifted after the recent ruling.
