Sudan's paramilitary fighters killed 85 people in an attack on a central village, residents say

The paramilitary Rapid Support Forces began attacking Galgani in the central province of Sennar late in July, indiscriminately firing on unarmed residents after they resisted attempts to abduct and assault women.

Hundreds of RSF fighters stormed the village, looting and burning houses, with over 150 villagers reported wounded, illustrating the severe humanitarian crisis from the 18-month conflict.
