The Islamic State (IS) extremist group claimed responsibility for a deadly attack in Kabul aimed at Taliban government prosecution offices, killing at least six.
According to IS's Amaq media, the attack was described as a suicide attack occurring as prosecutor's employees were departing their shifts, resulting in significant casualties.
Witnesses reported a higher death toll than officially stated, with the Amaq report suggesting 'more than 45' individuals were either killed or injured in the bombing.
The IS-K branch has consistently targeted the Taliban-led government and its officials, as well as foreign nationals and the Shi'ite Hazara community since the Taliban's rise to power.
