The reporter, Evan Gershkovich, 32, who was arrested in March 2022 during a reporting trip to the Russian city of Yekaterinburg, was ordered to stay in prison until at least March 30.
Russian investigators so far have not publicly presented any evidence to support the espionage charge against Mr. Gershkovich.
