Milder weather on the way as mix of sunshine and drizzle forecast
Briefly

The weather is set to improve with dry, bright conditions developing in the northwest and spreading across Connacht and Ulster this afternoon. Despite the milder temperatures ranging from 7 to 11 degrees today, overnight lows will plunge to between -1 and 4 degrees, potentially leading to icy patches. Tomorrow is expected to be similarly dry with clouds and sunshine but a chance of light showers. Forecasters anticipate settled weather continuing through midweek, though some uncertainty looms regarding unsettled conditions later in the week with possible heavy showers.
Conditions will clear to dry and bright weather from the northwest and spreading into Connacht and Ulster by this afternoon with some sunny spells developing.
That's as high pressure centred to the south of Ireland continues to dominate, bringing a lot of dry weather, but some weather fronts will encroach from the northwest from time to time, bringing a little rain and drizzle.
