Meta's communications director, Andy Stone, has been sentenced in absentia to six years imprisonment in Russia for 'justifying terrorism' due to comments on the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
Stone was found to have committed a crime under the Russian Criminal Code for endorsing aggression against Russian soldiers. The US lack of extradition treaty with Russia complicates the enforcement of the sentence.
