For thousands of years, the land predators have lived throughout the continent from Eastern pockets in Poland and Romania to Italy, France and Spain.
And a recent bear attack, which left two people hospitalized in the Slovakian town of Liptovský Mikulář on March 15, has drawn attention to their presence.
