During his meeting with Sanchez, an arms package worth almost 1.3 billion ($1.41 billion) was presented to Zelenskiy, an unprecedented figure in Spanish military aid to Ukraine or to any other country.

The security agreement between Spain and Ukraine will include Patriot missile systems and Leopard tanks, similar to agreements with the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Denmark, and Canada, providing long-term military support until Ukraine joins NATO and the EU.
