E.U. Naval Ship Rescues Crew of Oil Tanker Hit by Missiles in Red Sea
Briefly

The crew of the Greek-flagged oil tanker Sounion was forced to evacuate into a lifeboat after coming under gun and missile attack in the Red Sea.
The Yemen-based Houthi militia has not claimed responsibility for the attack on the Sounion, which represents the most serious incident against commercial shipping in weeks.
The maritime trade agency reported that the Sounion was approached by two small boats that exchanged fire before the tanker was hit by projectiles.
After the attack, the crew was rescued by a ship from the E.U. military mission, Operation Aspides, which intervened in response to Houthi militia attacks.
