"The Greater Lake Tahoe Area and the Mammoth Mountain Area are the focus of a winter storm watch issued at 12:57 p.m. on Tuesday by the National Weather Service. The watch is valid from Friday 4 p.m. until Sunday Jan. 4, at 10 a.m. The NWS Reno NV adds to prepare for, Snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet above 7000 feet and up to 12 inches below 7000 feet. Sierra crest ridgetops could see gusts as high as 100 mph."
