Pupils from Coláiste Cholmcille in Ballyshannon joined an EirGrid team for a beach clean in Rossnowlagh. A total of 57kg of rubbish was collected and disposed of as part of An Taisce’s Clean Coasts programme. Clean Coasts’ Big Beach Clean encourages communities and volunteers to remove litter from Irish coastal areas. The activity aligned with a pillar of EirGrid’s Sustainability Strategy focused on being a responsible business while supporting a more sustainable and secure electricity supply. Clean-ups help prevent litter from being washed into the sea and help safeguard marine life. EirGrid will log the clean-up data through Clean Coasts Ireland.
