Roger E. Merritt Jr. has built a successful career in environmental engineering and waste management over nearly three decades. He began with a civil engineering degree and later an Executive MBA, which informed his leadership style. Starting at Georgia's Environmental Protection Division, he gained regulatory experience before managing Georgia's largest landfill for Waste Management, Inc. As Director of Landfill Engineering at EnviroSolutions, he realized significant savings. He returned to public service in Maryland and led disaster response for U.S. Virgin Islands, and now advises on sustainable practices at REM Consulting while mentoring young professionals.
