The warning for counties Clare, Kerry, Galway and Mayo was in place from 8pm on Sunday and expired at 8pm this evening."

Tonight outbreaks of rain will continue in Munster and south Leinster while other areas will be drier with showers and temperatures of 10–14C. Rain will spread northwards tomorrow, clearing northeastwards to scattered evening showers, with highs near 16C on Tuesday and winds easing. Tuesday night will turn cloudier with rain and drizzle spreading from the south and temperatures dropping to 8–12C, milder in the southeast. Unsettled conditions will continue for the rest of the week with frequent wet, blustery weather and relatively mild temperatures.
