This second rain warning will be valid from midnight on Saturday until midnight on Sunday. The national forecaster has warned of spells of heavy rain, heaviest in the east and southeast."
"Possible impacts may include localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, mainly in Munster, Leinster and east Ulster. Some western and northern areas will be mainly dry, with some hill and coastal fog too. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 16 degrees with moderate southwest winds. On Friday morning spells of rain and drizzle will mostly clear eastwards, but will linger in the southeast with heavy falls at times."

Friday will see rain clearing eastwards but lingering in the southeast with heavy falls. The weekend will be cooler and unsettled, possibly windy, with potential for more widespread heavy or thundery rain before high pressure brings a cooler but improved early next week.
