Global carbon emissions from fossil fuels are at a record HIGH

To avoid the worst impacts of climate change, emissions will need to fall by a whopping 8.9 per cent each year, experts say.

Professor Friedlingstein, from Exeter University, who led the study said: 'It now looks inevitable we will overshoot the 1.5°C target of the Paris Agreement.'
