Michael Berube will assume the role of CALSTART CEO effective Nov. 13, 2025, succeeding John Boesel, who is retiring after a three-decade tenure including 24 years as CEO. Berube is an MIT-trained transportation and civil engineer with two decades in senior roles at Fiat Chrysler and Daimler-Chrysler, where he led product strategy and introduced low-emissions technologies. He served a decade as a senior official for sustainable transportation at the U.S. Department of Energy, helping create the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation and the U.S. Federal Consortium on Advanced Batteries.
