Two squirrels were found painted red and blue near Naubuc Avenue and High Street in East Hartford. Photographs show the animals covered from head to tail in bright color, one red and one blue. The animals appear to be okay. Animal Control officers are working with a licensed wildlife rehabilitator to determine how best to render aid to the squirrels. East Hartford Animal Control posted information about the incident and requested that anyone with information call 860-291-7572 and leave a message.
