As the Premier League summer transfer window approaches its closing date, clubs have spent 2.26bn on new players, marking a 12.7% increase from the previous year. The total is on track to surpass the record of 2.36bn from the 2023 window. Current Premier League spending exceeds the combined investments of Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, and La Liga. Premier League clubs have a net spend of over 1bn as compared to sales, while La Liga shows a minor negative net spend of 35m. Italian clubs follow with 783m spent, still less than the Premier League's net spend.
