Manchester United will face Manchester City at Wembley in the FA Community Shield after defeating them 2-1 in the FA Cup final. United's victory ended City's 35-game unbeaten streak in all competitions.
United have the most titles in the FA Community Shield with 21 wins, followed by Arsenal with 17 and Liverpool with 16. City, despite their recent success, have only won the Shield six times.
The upcoming Community Shield game on August 10 will feature United as the FA Cup winners and City as the Premier League champions. United last featured in the Shield in 2016.
Had City won, they would have played Arsenal in the Community Shield instead. United's win also secured them a spot in the 2024 Community Shield game against City.
