Facundo Pellistri has officially completed a permanent transfer from Manchester United to Panathinaikos, signing a four-year contract until 2028, aiming for a fresh start.
Despite being a fringe player at Manchester United since joining as an 18-year-old, Pellistri impressed during loan spells and is expected to kick on in Greece.
United secured a buy-back option for Pellistri until 2027 and will receive a 45% sell-on fee if he transfers from Panathinaikos in the future.
Pellistri’s journey included an initial setback due to Covid-19, but he ultimately made his United debut in January 2023 and continued to progress.
