Bayer Leverkusen managing director of sport Simon Rolfes acknowledged that Odilon Kossounou could leave this summer, amidst growing interest from Crystal Palace as they seek a new centre-back.
Kossounou's recent performances were instrumental in Bayer Leverkusen achieving an unbeaten domestic season, winning the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double, illustrating his rising value in the transfer market.
Rolfes mentioned, "I can't say. In general, he is a player we are planning with... However, it is certainly possible that there may still be one or two changes in our squad," indicating uncertainty.
German reports suggest that Crystal Palace would need to offer up to 38.6m to secure Kossounou's transfer, potentially setting a club record, as the Eagles look to strengthen defensively.
