Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Facundo Pellistri is all set to leave Manchester United permanently, with a reported fee around £5m, moving to Greek side Panathinaikos.
Manager Diego Alonso is said to be the key reason why Pellistri is keen on the move, as he offers the possibility of regular first-team football for a player in need of game time.
Although the fee is minimal, the transfer makes sense for Manchester United, as Pellistri has struggled to secure a starting role amid Amad's rise.
