
Wexford FC earned a morale-boosting win over second-placed UCD at Ferrycarrig Park in the First Division. After three consecutive defeats to lower-table teams, Stephen Elliott’s side needed confidence and took control early. Mikie Rowe and Jake Doyle scored in the first half, giving Wexford a lead. UCD were reduced to ten men with 20 minutes remaining, but Adam Wells scored to halve the deficit and set up a tense finish. Wexford started quickly, creating early chances through Rowe, Wynne, Hodgins, and Doyle. UCD also generated opportunities, including a corner that led to a misfired effort by Wells. The result leaves Wexford looking ahead to a match against Bray Wanderers.
