Cardiff City have drastically changed course in their management approach, relieving Erol Bulut of his duties after a disappointing run in the Championship, where they gained just one point from six games.
The board of directors at Cardiff City acknowledged Bulut's earlier success in transforming the team from relegation candidates to a mid-table finish, only to become disenchanted with the team's poor start this season.
With Bulut's departure, first-team coach Nikolaos Karydas has also left the club, creating a leadership void that interim manager Omer Riza now must fill to halt the team's decline in performance.
The Welsh club's struggle was underlined by a dismal home record, losing four consecutive matches and sitting at the bottom of the Championship table, leaving them four points adrift of safety.
