Centre-back Katie Reid has signed her first professional contract with Arsenal at 18, following impressive performances for the first team in the WSL and UEFA Champions League.
"I'm so proud to be putting pen to paper on a professional contract at a club that means so much to me. Ever since I was a kid and first started playing football, this is what I always aspired to. I want to keep working hard and progressing and I can't wait to continue my development here at Arsenal."
Clare Wheatley, Arsenal's director of women's football, commented on Reid's progress: "She has been a key part of our academy sides and has stepped up impressively to first-team level in recent weeks and months."
Reid has already gained international experience with the England under-19s and previously captained the under-17 squad to the semi-finals of the European Championship.
