Ethan Ampadu is focused on securing the Championship title for Leeds United, following their 6-0 victory against Stoke City, which confirmed their promotion to the Premier League. With notable contributions from players like Joel Piroe, Leeds set a record by being 4-0 up within just 30 minutes. Ampadu, who has been pivotal despite injuries, expressed pride in the team's achievement while urging teammates to aim for the championship title. He acknowledged the significance of their recent win over Cardiff, noting the importance of team cohesion and performance improvement.
"Very proud. A lot of positives. The celebrations are amazing. We've worked all year for this," Ampadu told Sky Sports shortly after Leeds' promotion was confirmed.
"Not to put a dampener on it, we've still got another target we want to achieve, so we're going to enjoy tonight, and then we're going to try and do the full thing."
"That was the biggest thing today. We didn't know what was going to happen in this game, so for us we were just so happy about our performance," Ampadu added.
"We've been building for a couple of weeks to get back to our levels and I think today showed that. We all came together."
