Why doesn't N.J. let kids take remote classes on snow days like NYC schools?
Briefly

Dozens of schools were closed or had delayed openings Tuesday after 6 to 12 inches of snow was forecasted to fall across the northern half of the state.
Under current law, public school students must be in classrooms for the day to be counted toward the minimum 180 days of instruction that are required in New Jersey.
