After two pandemic-disrupted application cycles, MIT announced that it would be asking for test scores again, starting with the high-school seniors applying this fall.
Since the pandemic, the system for elite colleges has shifted, with standardized tests no longer automatically mandatory, giving rise to legacy, test-blind, and test-optional approaches.
