We are providing our students stewardship, not a service
Briefly

In the context of higher education, faculty and staff must think of students as clients, but we must strive to be their stewards, not just service providers.
As stewards, decisions like accepting late submissions and handling academic integrity violations become ethical concerns, not just logistical ones. We help students grow.
Utilizing transactional language, such as 'shopping cart' for class enrollment, reinforces the view of education as a mere product, undermining our role as stewards.
By maintaining high ethical standards and genuinely listening to our students, we provide them with the support they need while fostering their development in society.
