We are done with corruption': how the students of Serbia rose up against the system
Briefly

Uros Pantovic joined thousands of protesters in Belgrade, calling for government accountability amid ongoing anti-regime demonstrations since November. Students have organized peaceful protests, squatted in university buildings, and created a community atmosphere with games and food. The movement, likened to the largest student-led protests in Europe since 1968, was sparked by a tragic incident in Novi Sad, killing 15 and injuring many. This protest wave represents a significant dissent against government failures, reminiscent of the protests that led to the fall of Milosevic in 2000.
We're here to tell our government that it's accountable to us, said Pantovic, a student at the law faculty of the University of Belgrade.
The student movement runs on food donations and operates independently from their university management and opposition parties, marking a significant era of student activism.
