She also completed 19 of 33 passes for 192 yards and two scores as Cal beat Oakland Tech 14-12. Emelia Brown, Liberty volleyball: Had two strong all-around games for Liberty during the week. The junior compiled 10 kills, three aces and 16 digs in a 3-2 win over Freedom,"

Votes by email and votes cast after 5 p.m. Wednesday are not counted, and polls close at 5 p.m. Wednesday with winners announced each Friday online and in print. Readers may vote repeatedly until polls close, but automated voting is forbidden. Nominations are accepted via highschools@bayareanewsgroup.com until 11 a.m. each Monday, and coach-submitted statistics are reviewed. Nominees include Caeli AuYeung (strong passing and rushing performances), Emelia Brown (double-digit kills and numerous digs), and Ines Coyne (dual-threat rushing and passing contributions).
