According to data released on Friday, 83.4% of all undergraduate students enrolled last fall across the UC system were in-state residents, the highest number since 2016. The 194,571 undergraduate California students also marked a 2% increase from fall 2022.
Of the nine UC campuses with undergrads, though, UC Berkeley has the lowest number of Californians, with only 77.8% of students being from in-state. And after including graduate students, its share of California students, 66.8%, is even lower.
