Leon Doody has been selected to represent Ireland at WorldSkills Shanghai, China, running September 22–27. He will compete in the retail sales category as one of 17 Team Ireland competitors. Leon is employed by EPS Mallow and studies the sales apprenticeship at Tipperary FET College in Thurles, at Archerstown. Mairéad Clohessy, a sales apprenticeship instructor and skills expert at Tipperary FET College, will accompany him to support preparation and competition. EPS Water, wastewater and plumbing specialists operating since 1968, employs apprentices across multiple trades and skills.
