Adrian Clargo from Anson Primary School has completed carbon literacy training aimed at equipping teachers to educate students about global warming. This initiative is part of a broader effort by Brent Council, with 20 local schools participating. The goal is to enhance teachers' ability to discuss environmental issues, greatly influencing how students engage with climate stewardship. Cllr Jake Rubin emphasized the importance of empowering teachers to inspire young minds, fostering a sense of responsibility towards caring for the planet.
The course, run by Brent Council, aims at improving teachers' understanding of how to discuss environmental issues with children and parents.
We are inspiring the next generation to care for our planet, Cllr Rubin said. Our teachers are now leading the way in climate action.
