According to the lawsuit, the Rudolf Steiner School made 'multiple false promises' concerning its hiring practices, leading parents to withdraw their children because the specialized education was not delivered.
The couple alleged that the school 'knowingly hired public school teachers who had no Waldorf education certification or background,' undermining the Waldorf educational philosophy they sought.
The Eliasons claimed that the issue of certification was particularly severe in the younger grades, where ‘the school knowingly hired its own students' parents to be lead teachers.’
In the complaint, the Eliasons pointed out that the school's executive director had to 'intervene' in a situation involving her own child's class, highlighting the widespread issues with teacher qualifications.
