"Text description provided by the architects. Transforming a school in use into a long-term civic catalyst, the Paul Doumer project turns construction constraints into an opportunity to rethink how educational architecture can shape both learning and the city."
The Paul Doumer project converts an occupied school into a long-term civic catalyst by turning construction constraints into design opportunities. The approach focuses on rethinking how educational architecture can actively shape both learning environments and the surrounding urban context. Design leadership came from Celine Tedde and Jerome Apack of AT architectes. Engineering and consulting contributions included i2c (structural), AD2i and PHD ingenierie (other), Jean AMOROS (acoustic), and DOMENE (environmental sustainability). Landscape architecture was provided by Marie-Pierre Gregoire. The project emphasizes integrated structural, acoustic, environmental, and landscape strategies while maintaining school operation.
