Pasadena Unified School District announces phased re-opening for schools
Briefly

In a statement, District Supt. Elizabeth Blanco emphasized the challenges faced in assessing the fire damage, particularly due to inaccessible schools within evacuation zones, stating, "Several factors have slowed our efforts to assess damage and considering the needs of the charter schools, at this current time, we're just not able to assess where that space might be. But they're not forgotten, and we're working on it."
The Pasadena Unified School District plans to reopen campuses gradually over the next two weeks with the intention of having all students back in school by the end of January, stating, "All of the district's 24 campuses have been closed since Jan. 8 due to the Eaton fire, and we are moving forward with a cautious approach to ensure safety and accessibility for all students."
