Newham's best and worst performing secondary schools revealed

In the 2024 academic year, Newham's secondary schools were ranked based on student performance metrics such as progress from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 and GCSE outcomes. Oasis Academy Silvertown was highlighted as the lowest performer in the area. In contrast, Forest Gate Community School excelled with a Progress 8 score of 1.05 and a 71.2% GCSE success rate. Brampton Manor Academy recorded the highest percentage of students attaining grade 5s in English and maths. Notably, nine out of 22 primary schools also reported above-average Progress 8 scores.
Oasis Academy Silvertown was ranked as the poorest performing secondary school in Newham for the 2024 academic year.
Forest Gate Community School emerged as the top performer, scoring well above average with a Progress 8 score of 1.05.
Brampton Manor Academy achieved the highest percentage of grade 5s and above in English and maths GCSEs at 72.6 percent.
Out of the 22 government-funded primary schools in Newham with available data, nine registered Progress 8 scores above average.
