For the first time in nearly a decade, Maryland and Georgetown will resume their rivalry with a four-game series in men's basketball that will begin in 2025, the schools announced Tuesday.
The rivalry between Maryland head coach Lefty Driesell and former Georgetown head coach John Thompson Jr. stalled any talks of regular series between the two schools, with a hint of animosity always remaining.
