Interest in QuestBridge students on the rise
Briefly

QuestBridge, a national program aimed at connecting high-achieving low-income students with selective colleges, saw a remarkable 17% increase in early-admission rates this cycle. With 2,627 early admits for the Class of 2029, the program is expanding notably with the addition of new partners like Harvard University. The competitive selection process, which this year narrowed down 7,288 finalists from over 25,000 applicants, highlights QuestBridge’s effectiveness in promoting diversity in higher education, especially following changes in affirmative action policy. Universities are increasingly relying on QuestBridge to attract talented students from various backgrounds.
The increase in early-admission rates is attributed to QuestBridge's role in diversifying student bodies and increasing access for low-income students.
QuestBridge’s successful matching process not only enhances university diversity but also addresses the gap left by the recent Supreme Court ruling against affirmative action.
