On Oct. 18, hundreds of Berkeley High School students walked out to support Palestine, causing discord within the community and raising concerns among some Jewish students and parents.
The history of dissent at Berkeley High dates back to the 1960s with movements against the Vietnam War, then ethnic studies courses, and currently Black Lives Matter, immigration reform, reproductive rights, and LGBTQ rights.
