The tawjihi exam results were released on July 27, with celebrations for many students. However, thousands in Gaza, including 31,000 born in 2006, could not take the exam, highlighting their inability to continue education. This year, an additional 40,000 students born in 2007 joined those facing educational limbo. The education system in Gaza has been devastated, with schools destroyed and students struggling to survive amid severe hardship and starvation.
The Palestinian Ministry of Education released tawjihi exam results amid celebrations, yet thousands, particularly in Gaza, faced despair due to their inability to take the exams.
For two years, I, along with 31,000 other Palestinian students, have been unable to take the tawjihi, stripped of our right to continue education.
This year, I struggle not just with lost educational aspirations but also the desperate need to keep my family alive amidst starvation in Gaza.
